The Club de Regatas Vasco of Gamma is a Brazilian polish-porting club, of the city of Rio De Janeiro, capital of the state of Rio De Janeiro. It was established in 21 of August of 1898, for a group of remadores. The name of the club is a homage to Portuguese navigator Vasco of Gamma, due to commemoration of the room centenarian of the trip of discovery of the maritime way for India, in 1898. Its statute defines it as porting, recreativa, educational, assistencial and filantrópica a "entidade of public utility, without ends lucrativos."[1 ] the Vasco is, currently, third placed in ranking annual of the CBF. [ 2 ] In 25 of June, the governor of Rio De Janeiro, Sergio Cabral sancionou the law project nº 5,052, that he created the Day of the Vasco, dates commemorative that he homages the foundation of the club.
